INTRODUCTION:
The college follows RTI rules and regulations as the Parliament enacted the Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005), which came into force on 15 June 2005.
This Act provides citizens the right to information to secure access to information under public authorities’ control to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public administration.
All Universities and Colleges established by law made by Parliament or by State Legislature or by notification by the appropriate Government or owned, controlled, or substantially financed directly or indirectly by funds provided by the Government shall come within the meaning of a Public Authority under this Act.
Objectives of the right to information Act:
The primary object of the right to information act is to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Government, contain corruption, and make our democracy work for the people in an absolute sense. The Act is a big step toward informing the citizens about college activities. The college uploads essential information on its website to benefit the students, parents, teachers, alumni, and other citizens concerned about the college.
The following officers are appointed as Appellate Authority, RTI Officer, and Assistant RTI Officer in the college with immediate effect and until further orders. The under-mentioned competent authorities have the right to give the information demanded by any stakeholders.
